How to use the Network Participation Dashboard

The Participation Dashboard is updated every nightunlike Reports which are updated weekly.

A network is comprised of several Communities. The participation dashboard enables you to track survey participation on the level of Class/Group Lead, Community, and Network. If data is not populated in your dashboard or it’s different than you expect, ensure the correct Communities are in the Network you’re viewing, the correct Classes/Groups are in the Communities, and you’ve allowed enough time (overnight) for the data to reflect any recent changes.

Participation Overview:

  • Communities show the number of Communities in the Network.

  • Class/Group Leads shows the total number of unique Class/Group Leads in the Network.

  • Classes/Groups shows the total number of Classes/Groups in the Network.

  • Students/Participants shows the total number of unique students/participants in the Network.

  • Enrollments shows the total number of students/participants listed on every Roster, counting each time they appear in a different Class/Group. The number of enrollments is usually higher than the number of unique students/participants because the same individual might be in two or more Classes/Groups. Enrollments are used as the denominator in all Participation Rate calculations. Learn more about enrollments.

  • Respondents shows the number of unique students/participants who responded to at least one survey.

Participation by Survey:

  • Respondents refers to the number of unique students/participants who responded to the survey. You can hover over the bar to show an exact number.

  • Participation Rate can be viewed by hovering over the line. Calculations account for the fact that participants might be enrolled in multiple Classes/Groups. They show the percent of enrollments that resulted in a valid response to a given survey. The denominator for the participation rate calculation is enrollments, not unique students/participants, because individuals may have been invited to participate in more than one Class/Group. Learn more about how participation rates are calculated.

  • # of Class/Group Leads Meeting 50% Participation shows the number of Class/Group Leads who had a 50% or higher participation rate in at least one Class/Group.

  • % of Class/Group Leads Meeting 50% Participation can be viewed by hovering over the bar. It shows the percent of Class/Group Leads who had a 50% or higher participation rate in at least one Class/Group.

Participation by Community:

  • % Participation Rate calculations account for the fact that individuals might be enrolled in multiple Classes/Groups. They show the percent of enrollments that resulted in a valid response to a given survey. The denominator for the participation rate calculation is enrollments, not unique students/participants, because individuals may have been invited to participate in more than one Class/Group. Learn more about how participation rates are calculated.

  • # of Respondents refers to the number of unique individuals who responded to the survey in that Community.

  • % of Class/Group Leads Meeting 50% Participation shows the percent of Class/Group Leads who had a 50% or higher participation rate in at least one Class/Group.

  • # of Class/Group Leads Meeting 50% Participation shows the number of Class/Group Leads who had a 50% or higher participation rate in at least one Class/Group.
