Elevate Showcase, October 2022: Full Video

The first ever Elevate Showcase in October 2022 invited teachers and education leaders from across the country to showcase their innovative work in centering student voices in order to catalyze change within the classroom. B. Case Studies
Jessica Bunzol, Instructional Coach from the Network for College Success: Jessica discusses her approach to developing safe spaces for teachers to reflect on Elevate data at the schools she coaches in Chicago Public Schools. 

Rachel Banas, Principal at West Buffalo Charter Schools: Rachel discusses her approach to building buy-in for Elevate among teachers and students and the impact that she’s seen at her school from using Elevate. 

Case Study Panel Discussion: Jessica and Rachel compare implementing Elevate in a large school district versus smaller sites.

Jennifer Ciok, Coach, To & Through, Diffusing Evaluation Anxiety: Jennifer shares how she helped teachers get past the fear of feeling evaluated by student voice data. 

Shan Carter, Coach, Guilford County Schools, Promoting teacher self-awareness: Shan shares how practicing Adult SEL helped teachers get the most out of Elevate Instructional

Student Panel: High school students Naina Enock, Finali Solivan, and Kanaan Smith share their experiences in classes using Elevate.

Shannon Feineis, High School Physics, Problem Solving with Students: Shannon talks about how she took student suggestions and implemented them to transform her class structure and culture. 

Kaity Haley, Middle School Social Studies, Evaluating Equity in Classroom Culture: Kaity shares how she identified equity gaps in her Elevate data and then implemented strategies to close them. 

Anna Stewart, Middle School Math, Vulnerability with Student Feedback: Anna considered leaving the teaching profession, but instead found joy and revitalization after using Elevate. 

Katrice Dixon, Middle School Math, Student Voice The Better Choice: As the Equity and SEL coordinator for her school, Katrice found Elevate to be a natural fit in her classroom where she was working to center student experience. 

Teacher Panel: Our teacher presenters share how they’ve pushed past disappointing results to make change.

Research Panel: Camille Farrington, Ph.D., Jason Okonofua, Ph.D., and Sarah Gripshover, Ph.D. discuss how programs like Elevate can impact student outcomes.
